about

"Certified banger! The world needs to hear it!"
-Bobbito Garcia aka Kool Bob Love on "Dem Say Ah"

Already a banger on dance floors worldwide, 'Dem Say Ah', the Afrobeat-infused scorcher, has been a secret weapon to DJs like Bobbito Garcia, Nightmares on Wax, Mitsu the Beats and Gilles Peterson, among others.

Long out of print and commanding a good amount of coin online, the song returns on a beautifully pressed ’45, with a fresh new roots mix to boot, courtesy of DJ Center and Akoya Afrobeat!

On this 7" version, the live 'Akoya Re-Rub' mix was cut straight to 2" tape at Electric Garden Studios in Brooklyn, New York and mixed by Grammy award winning engineer, Ben Kane ( D’angelo’s Black Messiah ).

The flip is a 7-inch edit of the original version, mixed by the legendary DJ Spinna and features Ticklah ( Antibalas, Sharon Jones and The Dapkings, Mark Ronson ) on keys.

Each drum heavy '45 comes in a ‘one of a kind’ hand stamped sleeve. Watch what dem say!
